Karier sunting
Malcomson berperan sebagai Trixie di serial HBO, Deadwood[3] dan sebagai Colleen di serial ABC, Lost.[4] Dia memainkan peran Amanda Graystone dalam seri spin-off Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, serta peran Maureen Ashby di FX Series, Sons of Anarchy.[3] Dia memainkan peran Abby Donovan, istri dari karakter utama dalam serial Showtime, Ray Donovan. Dia juga berperan sebagai Mrs. Everdeen dalam film adaptasi dari The Hunger Games, ibu dari karakter utama Katniss Everdeen.[5]
