Leonardo Bruni

Leonardo Bruni (atau Leonardo Aretino; s. 1370 – 9 Maret 1444) adalah seorang humanis, sejarawan dan negarawan asal Italia, yang sering dikenal sebagai sejarawan humanis paling penting dari awal Renaisans.[1] Ia disebut sejarawan modern pertama.[2] Ia adalah orang terawal yang menulis memakai pandangan sejarah tiga periode: zaman kuno, Abad Pertengahan, dan zaman modern.
