Semut Argentina (Linepithema humile, sebelumnya Iridomyrmex humilis) adalah sebuah spesies semut yang berasal dari Argentina Utara, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, dan Brazil selatan.[1] Spesies invasif ini secaa tidak disengaja telah dikenalkan ke daerah-daerah lain oleh manusia pada skala global[2][3][4] dan telah menetap di beberapa daerah beriklim mediterania,[5][6][7][8] yang mencakup Afrika Selatan,[9] Selandia Baru,[10] Jepang,[11] Pulau Paskah,[12] Australia,[13] Eropa,[14] Hawaii,[15] dan daratan utama Amerika Serikat.[16] Semut Argentina adalah sebuah hama yang signifikan pada daerah-daerah pedesaan dan pertanian,[17][18][19] dan telah dilaporkan menyebabkan kerusakan kepada komunitas artropoda,[20][21][22] vertebrata,[23][24][25] dan tumbuhan setempat[26][27][28] pada jangkauan invasif mereka.
