Ratapan adalah sebuah ekspresi besar dari rasa duka, seringkali dalam bentuk musik, syair atau lagu. Duka seringkali menimbulkan penyesalan atau rasa berkabung. Ratapan juga dapat diekspresikan dalam bentuk verbal, dimana seseorang akan bmeratap suatu hal yang disesalkan oleh mereka atau orang yang meninggalkan mereka.[1]
