Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI; bahasa Irlandia: Seirbhís Póilíneachta Thuaisceart Éireann;^[4] Skot Ulster: Polis Service o Norlin Airlan) adalah kepolisian yang beroperasi di Irlandia Utara. PSNI adalah penerus Royal Ulster Constabulary setelah direformasi dan diganti namanya pada tahun 2001 sesuai anjuran Laporan Patten.^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]

Meski mayoritas polisi PSNI berlatar belakang Protestan Ulster, jumlahnya tidak setinggi di RUC karena PSNI menjalankan kebijakan aksi afirmatif. RUC merupana kepolisian bersenjata yang bertugas meredam konflik the Troubles. Salah satu poin Perjanjian Jumat Baik adalah pembentukan kepolisian baru yang menyerupai aparat penegak hukum RUC.^[9]^[10] Dalam rangka reformasi, Independent Commission on Policing for Northern Ireland (Komisi Patten) dibentuk, kemudian RUC digantikan oleh PSNI pada tanggal 4 November 2001.^[11]^[12] Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000 menetapkan nama Police Service of Northern Ireland (incorporating the Royal Ulster Constabulary) yang dipendekkan menjadi Police Service of Northern Ireland untuk keperluan operasional.^[10]^[13]

Semua partai politik besar di Irlandia Utara sekarang mendukung PSNI. Awalnya, Sinn Féin, partai yang mewakili seperempat pemilih di Irlandia Utara waktu itu, tidak mau mendukung PSNI apabila rekomendasi Komisi Patten belum dijalankan sepenuhnya. Namun, sebagai tindak lanjut Perjanjian St Andrews, Sinn Féin menyatakan dukungan penuhnya terhadap PSNI pada Januari 2007.^[14]

Bila dibandingkan dengan 44 kepolisian teritorial lainnya di Britania Raya, PSNI adalah kepolisian terbesar ketiga menurut jumlah polisi (setelah Metropolitan Police Service dan Police Scotland) dan kepolisian terbesar kedua menurut luas wilayah operasi (setelah Police Scotland). Jumlah polisi PSNI kurang lebih separuhnya Garda Síochána.
