John Corbett
John Joseph Corbett, Jr. (lahir 9 Mei 1961) adalah pemeran dan penyanyi lagu-lagu country.[1] Namanya mulai dikenal secara luas ketika berperan sebagai Chris Stevens dalam Northern Exposure sejak 1990 to 1995; dan Aidan, kekasih Carrie Bradshaw dalam Sex and the City—peran yang dimainkan kembali dalam sequel Sex and the City 2. Dia juga menjadi lawan main Nia Vardalos dalam My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002). Kemudian dia membintangi United States of Tara sebagai Max Gregson, dan muncul dalam serial drama komedi di kanal NBC, Parenthood sebagai Seth Holt. Latar belakang sunting
Corbett lahir di Wheeling, West Virginia pada 9 Mei 1961.[2] Dia menyelesaikan pendidikannya di Wheeling Central Catholic High School, lulus pada tahun 1979.[3] Corbett mulai belajar bermain gitar sejak umur 7 tahun, dan pada umur 16 tahun dia menerima tawaran bermain di Capitol Music Hall.[4] Setelah menyelesaikan pendidikan SMA-nya, Corbett pindah ke California, bekerja di pabrik baja selama enam tahun.[5] Selama itu, dia menggunakan waktu luangnya dia berlatif fisik untuk mendaftarkan diri di L.A. County Deputy Sheriff, tapi belum beruntung.[6] Dia berhenti bekerja karena mengalami sedikit kecelakaan, kemdian dia masuk sekolah di Cerritos College, Norwalk, California. Dia mengambil kelas seni peran dan tata rambut selama satu tahun.[7][8] Dia mendapatkan ijazah sebagai penata rambut pada 1986.[9] Setelah itu dia bekerja untuk Samsung dan selama tiga tahun membintangi 50 iklan komersial.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19]
