# Ungu melambangkan rasa sedih dan ketenangan. Dalam [[liturgi]] warna ungu dipakai selama masa mawas diri yang membutuhkan ketenangan. Masa mawas diri adalah masa [[Advent]] (empat minggu menjelang Hari Raya Natal) dan masa [[Prapaskah]] (empat puluh hari sebelum Hari Raya Paskah). Dalam satu minggu menjelang [[Paskah]], warna ungu berhubungan erat dengan sengsara dan wafat [[Yesus Kristus]].
