Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"[1] adalah nina bobo bahasa Inggris yang populer. Liriknya berasal dari awal abad ke-19 puisi Inggris oleh Jane Taylor, "The Star". Hal ini dinyanyikan untuk lagu melodi Prancis Ah! vous dirai-je, maman, yang diterbitkan pada 1761 dan kemudian diatur oleh beberapa komposer termasuk Mozart dengan Dua Belas Variasi "Ah vous dirai - je, Maman".[2] Lirik bahasa Inggris memiliki enam bait, meskipun yang pertama secara luas dikenal.

Liriknya pertama kali ditulis sebagai sajak oleh Jane Taylor[3] dan diterbitkan dengan judul "The Star" di Rhymes for Nursery oleh Jane dan kakaknya Ann Taylor (1782-1866) di London pada tahun 1806.[4]

Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,

Then the traveller in the dark
