Sir David Gilmour, 4th Baronet
Sir David Robert Gilmour, 4th Baronet FRSL (lahir 14 November 1952) adalah seorang pengarang asal Inggris. Ia adalah putra sulung dari pasangan Ian Gilmour, Baron Gilmour of Craigmillar, 3rd Baronet, dan Lady Caroline Margaret Montagu-Douglas-Scott, putri bungsu dari Adipati Buccleuch ke-8. Putri Margaret menjadi wali baptisnya.[1] Ia menjadi baronet ke-4 saat ayahnya wafat pada 2007.
Gilmour dididik di Eton dan Balliol College, Oxford.
Gilmour adalahFellow of the Royal Society of Literature (FRSL) dan mantan Research Fellow of St Antony's College Oxford. Ia adalah seorang sejarawan dan biografer.
Ia juga mengulas untuk publikasi-publikasi seperti London Review of Books, Financial Times, Corriere della Sera, Times Literary Supplement, Spectator, Independent on Sunday, dan New York Review of Books.[2]
Kehidupan pribadi sunting
Ia menikahi Sarah Anne Bradstock, putri tunggal dari Michael Hilary George Bradstock pada 27 September 1975. Mereka memiliki empat anak:
