Kehidupan dan karier sunting
Patricia lahir di Helena, Montana, Amerika Serikat. Dia adalah seorang keturunan Afrika-Amerika.[1] Sebelum ia menjadi seorang aktris, iaadalah seorang kontestan di Jeopardy!.[2] Sayangnya ia kalah dari pengacara Ron Black di salah satu dari 5 pertandingannya. Dia belajar akting di bawah bimbingan banyak guru drama, termasuk aktris nominasi Oscar, Beah Richards.
Belcher dikenal karena banyak berperan sebagai juri, dokter, perawat, pejabat pemerintah, dan tokoh otoritas lainnya, sering kali memiliki efek komik.
