Micheal Ward
Micheal Ward (lahir 18 November 1997) merupakan seorang pemeran dan mantan model asal Jamaika.[1][2] Ia dikenal sebagai aktor dalam film Blue Story (2018) dan The Old Guard (2020).[3] Ia juga berperan dalam seri televisi Top Boy[1] dan The A List.[4] Ia mendapatkan BAFTA Rising Star Award tahun 2020.[5][6]

Latar belakang sunting
Michael Ward lahir di Spanish Town, Jamaika, pada tanggal 18 November 1997.[7] Ibunya, Keisha, berusia 18 tahun ketika ia lahir.[8][9] Ia memiliki tiga saudara perempuan.[10] Ayahnya tewas dalam kecelakaan mobil saat ia berusia dua tahun.[11] Ia kemudian pindah ke Hackney, London Timur, bersama ibu dan saudara perempuannya pada usia empat tahun, dengan bantuan bibi dan pamannya yang mengelola sebuah restoran Karibia di Chadwell Heath.[11] Keluarganya kemudian pindah ke Romford. Ia menempuh pendidikan di Chadwell Heath Academy dan Epping Forest College untuk mempelajari drama.[1][12] Ia bekerja mengantarkan makanan untuk restoran bibinya saat remaja dan kemudian bekerja di toko buku.[13][14]
Ia adalah penggemar Arsenal F.C.[15] Ia pergi ke sekolah dengan pesepakbola profesional Britania Raya Rhian Brewster.[16] Ia masuk dalam daftar Forbes 30 Under 30 pada tahun 2020.[17] Ia memperoleh kewarganegaraan Britania Raya pada tahun 2015.[8]
