Kehidupan pribadi sunting
Sugar lulus dari jurusan hukum Universitas Georgetown. Ia adalah putra distributor dan produser Larry Sugar. Ia menikah dengan Catherine Sugar, mantan kepala divisi bisnis televisi di William Morris Endeavor dan Endeavor.[1][2]
Karier sunting
Sugar adalah rekan sekaligus produser di rumah produksi Anonymous Content.[3]
Pada tahun 2015, Sugar memproduser film drama biografi Spotlight yang dibintangi Mark Ruffalo dan disutradarai Tom McCarthy. Ia mendapat nominasi Academy Award kategori Best Picture di 88th Academy Awards bersama Steve Golin, Nicole Rocklin, dan Blye Pagon Faust.[4]
