James Anthony Bailey
James Anthony Bailey (4 Juli 1846 - 11 April 1906), dengan nama lahir James Anthony McGinnis, adalah seorang ringmaster sirkus Amerika Serikat.[2]

Pada saat berumur 25 tahun, ia sudah menjadi manajer sirkus Cooper dan Bailey. Ia lalu bertemu dengan P.T. Barnum dan bersama-sama mereka mendirikan Sirkus Barnum dan Bailey pada tahun 1881.

He can, without exaggeration, be called the creator of the modern circus. He has lifted the circus to a standard that renders almost ridiculous the laws that once were so necessary for its regulation.
