Robert II dari Skotlandia
Robert II (2 Maret 1316 – 19 April 1390) merupakan Raja Skotlandia dari 1371 sampai kematiannya sebagai penguasa pertama dari Wangsa Stewart. Ia adalah putra dari pasangan Walter Stewart, 6th High Steward of Scotland dan Marjorie Bruce, putri dari pasangan Robert the Bruce dan istri pertamanya Isabella dari Mar.

Edward Bruce, adik dari Robert the Bruce, diangkat menjadi pewaris tahta namun ia wafat tanpa meninggalkan anak kandung pada 3 Desember 1318 dalam sebuah pertempuran di dekat Dundalk, Irlandia. Pada waktu itu, Marjorie tewas dalam kecelakaan menunggang kuda, diyakini pada 1317. Parlemen memutuskan agar putranya yang masih bayi, Robert Stewart, menjadi pewaris tahta, tetapi tergantikan pada 5 Maret 1324 saat kelahiran seorang putra, David, dari pasangan Raja Robert dan istri keduanya, Elizabeth de Burgh. Robert Stewart mewariskan gelar High Steward of Scotland saat ayahnya wafat pada 9 April 1326, dan pada Juli 1326, Parlemen mengkonfirmasikan Steward muda sebagai pewaris jika Pangeran David wafat tanpa penerus. Pada 1329, Raja Robert I wafat dan David yang berusia enam tahun naik tahta dengan Sir Thomas Randolph, Earl of Moray diangkat menjadi Penjaga Skotlandia.
