George Bentham
George Bentham CMG FRS (22 September 1800 – 10 September 1884)[1] adalah seorang botanis Inggris, yang disebut oleh Duane Isely sebagai "botanis sistematis utama dari abad kesembilan belas".[2]

Kehidupan awal sunting
Bentham lahir di Stoke, Plymouth, pada 22 September 1800.[3] Ayahnya, Sir Samuel Bentham, seorang arsitek angkatan laut, adalah satu-satunya saudara dari Jeremy Bentham yang bertahan hidup sampai dewasa.
