Malam (buku): Perbedaan antara revisi

Wiesel baru berusia 16 tahun ketika Buchenwald dibebaskan pada April 1945.<!--Note: Wiesel dilahirkan pada [[30 September]] [[1928]].--> Setelah kehilangan imannya kepada [[Nama Allah dalam Yudaisme|Allah]] dan seluruh umat manusia, ia bersumpah untuk tidak berbicara tentang pengalamannya selama sepuluh tahun. Baru setelah itulah ia menulis kisahnya dalam [[bahasa Yiddish]], yang diterbitkan di Buenos Aires pada 1955. Pada bulan Mei tahun itu, novelis Perancis [[François Mauriac]] membujuknya untuk menulis kisah itu untuk pembaca yang lebih luas.
