Nederlands: Het stadhuis van Batavia, de Portugese Stadskerk en de Portugese Buitenkerk, naar een gravure van Fr. Valentijn. Het stadhuis bestaat nog, hoewel het sedert de 17e eeuw enige malen is verbouwd. De Portugese Stadskerk is in 1808 afgebrand. De Buitenkerk (tegenwoordig Gereja Sion of Sionskerk) is het enige kerkgebouw uit de Compagniestijd van Batavia dat gespaard bleef.
English: Batavia's city hall, the Portuguese city church and the Portuguese outer church (i.e. outside the city walls), after an engraving by Fr. Valentijn. The city hall still exists, although it has been renovated several times since the 17th century. The Portuguese city church burnt down in 1808. The outer church (now known as Gereja Sion or Sion's Church) is the only church building left from the time of the Dutch East India Company. |
