Alfred Schütz (Jerman: [ʃʏts], 1899–1959) adalah seorang filsuf dan fenomenolog sosial Austria, yang karya-karyanya menjembatani tradisi sosiologis dan fenomenologis. Schütz secara bertahap diakui sebagai salah satu filsuf ilmu sosial terkemuka di abad ke-20.[1]:xv Dia menghubungkan karya Edmund Husserl dengan ilmu-ilmu sosial, menggunakannya untuk mengembangkan landasan filosofis sosiologi Max Weber, dalam karya utamanya yang berjudul Phenomenology of the Social World.[2] Namun, kebanyakan pengaruhnya muncul dari publikasi Collected Papers miliknya pada 1960-an.[3]
