Latar belakang dan perilisan sunting

Pada 14 Mei 2018, dilaporkan bahwa Day6 akan kembali dengan musik baru pada bulan Juni dan agensi mereka JYP Entertainment mengatakan, "DAY6 sedang bekerja untuk album baru mereka, namun waktu rilis belum ditentukan".[2][3] Pada 11 Juni, agensi mereka mengunggah 'jadwal pengumuman' dan mengungkapkan bahwa Day6 akan merilis album mini ketiga mereka berjudul Shoot Me: Youth Part 1 pada 26 Juni.[4][5]

Setelah itu, dari 15 Juni sampai 19 Juni poster bergerak dan gambar teaser dari setiap anggota dirilis,[6][7][8][9][10] diikuti oleh gambar teaser unit pada 20 Juni.

Pada 25 Juni, sebuah teaser untuk video musik "Shoot Me" dirilis di saluran YouTube resmi JYP dan saluran V Live mereka.[11][12] Pada 26 Juni, album mini ini dirilis bersamaan dengan video musik untuk "Shoot Me".

Promosi sunting

Pada 27 Juni 2018, dua jam setelah perilisan album, sebuah "Comeback Show" ditayangkan secara langsung di Naver V LIVE menampilkan Day6 memperkenalkan lagu baru mereka.[13]

Day6 akan mempromosikan singel utama "Shoot Me" di beberapa acara musik di Korea Selatan termasuk M Countdown dan Music Bank.
