Sejarah astronomi

Astronomi adalah ilmu pengetahuan alam tertua, yang telah ada sejak zaman kuno, dengan asal mulanya dalam kepercayaan agama, mitologi, kosmologi, kalender, dan astrologi dan praktik-praktik pra-sejarah.

Sejarah awal

Budaya-budaya awal mengidentifikasikan objek-objek ruang angkasa dengan dewa-dewa dan jiwa. Mereka mengaitkan objek-objek tersebut (dan gerakan mereka) dengan fenomena seperti hujan dan musim. Mereka umumnya mempercayai bahwa astronom-astronom "profesional" pertama adalah para pendeta
