Scott Z. Burns
Scott Z. Burns (lahir 1962) adalah penulis skenario, produser, dan sutradara asal Amerika.[1] Burns telah menulis skenario untuk film The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), The Informant! (2009), dan Contagion (2011), yang semuanya diperankan oleh Matt Damon. Filmnya berjudul The Informant!, Contagion, dan Side Effects disutradarai oleh Steven Soderbergh.[2] Burns juga memperoleh kemenangan Academy Award pada film An Inconvenient Truth. Pada 2018, dikabarkan Burns akan menyutradarai The Torture Report, drama tentang program penyiksaan rahasia di dalam CIA.[3]

Burns merupakan penduduk asli Golden Valley, Minnesota[4] dan lulus pada tahun 1985 dengan gelar dalam bahasa Inggris dari University of Minnesota.[5] Saat ini dia tinggal di Los Angeles.
