Kecerahan (Buddhisme)

Istilah Indonesia kecerahan adalah terjemahan dari kata abstrak bodhi, (/ˈbdi/; Sanskrit: बोधि; Pali: bodhi), pengetahuan atau kebijaksanaan, atau keadaan sempurna, dari seorang Buddha.[1] Istilah verbal budh- artinya "tersadarkan," dan arti harfiahnya adalah "kesadaran". Meskipun istilah buddhi juga dipakai dalam filsafat dan tradisi India lainnya, pemakaian paling umumnya adalah dalam konteks agama Buddha. Istilah "kecerahan" dipopulerisasikan di dunia Barat melalui terjemahan abad ke-19 dari Max Müller.
