Sejarah sunting
Perusahaan ini didirikan tahun 2006 oleh Aaron Edsinger dan Jeff Weber sebagai badan usaha pecahan dari MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory[1][2][3]
Pada tahun 2012, perusahaan ini bekerja sama dengan Human Centered Robotics Group di University of Texas at Austin untuk mengembangkan HUME, robot humanoid dua kaki dengan kelincahan tinggi.[4][5][6][7]
Pada tahun yang sama, perusahaan ini bersama Willow Garage dan SRI International mendirikan usaha patungan bernama Redwood Robotics, perusahaan yang khusus memproduksi lengan robotik.[8][9][10][11]
Pada tanggal 5 Desember 2013, Google mengakuisisi Meka Robotics.[12]
