John Warfield Johnston (lahir 9 September 1818 – meninggal 27 Februari 1889 pada umur 70 tahun) adalah seorang pengacara dan politikus Amerika asal Abingdon, Virginia. Ia menjabat dalam Senat Negara Bagian Virginia, dan mewakili Virginia di Senat Amerika Serikat saat negara bagian tersebut dirombak setelah Perang Saudara Amerika. Ia menjadi Senator Amerika Serikat selama 13 tahun. Dalam politik nasional, ia merupakan seorang Demokrat.
