Selama empat bulan, Smith mengurus hak distribusi film ini setelah penayangan perdana di Sundance Film Festival, tapi kemudian Smith membiayai sendiri dengan menggandeng John Horn dari Los Angeles Times.[12] Smith memilih untuk mendistribusikan sendiri di bawah bendera SModcast Pictures saat mempromosikan di beberapa kota.[13] Film ini dirilis dalam format video on demand pada 1 September 2011 melalui Lionsgate, di beberapa gedung bioskop pilihan, dan pada 23 September 2011 oleh (via SModcast Pictures).
