Michael Rooker (lahir 6 April 1955)[1] adalah aktor asal Amerika Serikat yang dikenal karena perannya sebagai Henry dalam Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986), Chick Gandil dalam Eight Men Out (1988), Rowdy Burns di Days of Thunder (1990), Bill Broussard di JFK (1991), Hal Tucker di Cliffhanger (1993), Detektif Howard Cheney di The Bone Collector (1999), Merle Dixon di serial AMC, The Walking Dead (2010–2013), Yondu Udonta dalam Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), sekuelnya, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), dan serial animasi What If...? (2021). Dia juga berperan sebagai Savant di The Suicide Squad (2021).

Kehidupan sunting
Rooker lahir di Jasper, Alabama. Dia memiliki sembilan saudara laki-laki dan perempuan. Orang tuanya bercerai ketika dia berusia 13 tahun, dan dia pindah bersama ibu dan saudara-saudaranya ke Chicago, Illinois, di mana dia bersekolah di SMA Wells Community Academy dan belajar di Goodman School of Drama di Universitas DePaul University.[2][3][4]
Rooker saat ini tinggal di California dan menikah dengan Margot Rooker. Mereka menikah pada 22 Juni 1979, dan memiliki dua putri. Dia berlatih karate gaya Kyokushin.[1][5]
