Ioannes Filoponos
Yohanes Philoponus (/fɪˈlɒpənəs/; Ἰωάννης ὁ Φιλόπονος; s. 490 – s. 570), juga dikenal sebagai Yohanes sang Ahli Tata Tulis atau Yohanes dari Aleksandria adalah seorang filologis Aleksandria, komentator Aristotelian dan teologi Kristen, penulis sejumlah risalah karya filsafat dan teologi. Seorang penulis yang terkadang berpolemik dan seorang pemikir asli yang kontroversial pada masanya sendiri, Yohanes Philoponus terpecah dari tradisi Aristotelian–Neoplatonik, mempertanyakan metodologi dan kemudian berujung pada empirisisme dalam ilmu alam. Ia adalah salah satu orang pertama yang mengusulkan "teori impetus" yang mirip dengan konsep modern inertia pada dinamika Aristotelian.
