Pada tahun [[1978]] pemerintah memberikan penyertaan modal yang mengubah status hukum perusahaan menjadi PT (Persero) dengan susunan modal sebagai berikut :
* Pemerintah [[RI]] : 88 %

* [[PT Semen Padang]] (Persero) : 5 %
 
Pada tahun 1991 berdasarkan PP Nomor : 3 tahun 1991, susunan modal PT Semen Baturaja berubah menjadi 100 % milik Pemerintah RI dengan mengambil alih saham - saham yang semula dimiliki oleh PT Semen Gresik dan PT Semen Padang.
