==Penumpang dan awak==
Menurut Malaysia Airlines, kapten penerbangan MH370, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, adalah warga Malaysia berusia 53 tahun yang memiliki pengalaman terbang selama 18.365 jam dan bergabung dengan perusahaan pada tahun 1981. Ko-pilotnya, Fariq Ab Hamid, juga merupakan warga Malaysia berusia 27 tahun dengan pengalaman terbang selama 2.763 jam sejak bergabung pada tahun 2007.<ref name="MH370 Flight Incident"></ref>
