In their book [[Santarasa]] (published by [[Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute]], [[Poona]], 1969) authors [[J.L. Masson]] and [[M.V. Patwardhan]] write about Abhinavagupta's major contribution to [[Sanskrit]] [[aesthetics]], the theory of [[rasa (art)\|rasa]].
