Selepas menempuh pendidikan di luar negeri, ia pernah bekerja di sebuah perusahaan multinasional seperti Price Waterhouse, Prosys Bangun Nusantara, Renaissance Indonesia, Jakarta Consulting Group, Soedarpo Informatika Enterprise, dan IndoConsult Utama. Lalu, ia mendirikan perusahaan konsultan teknologi informasi independen yang banyak membantu banyak perusahaan swasta maupun pemerintah. Ia adalah ketua pertama ID-SIRTII (Indonesia Security Incident Response Team on Internet Infrastructure.
