Bulan Juni 2012 adalah bulan dimana mini album Krewella dirilis dengan nama PLAYPlay HARDHard. Hampir bersamaan dengan PLAYPlay HARDHard, mini album KILLINKillin' ITIt yang berbau reggae juga diluncurkan. Setelah pertunjukan mereka di Ultra Music festival 2013, Billboard meramalkan bahwa Krewella akan semakin hits. Album debut mereka, [[Get Wet (album Krewella)|Get Wet]], berada di 10 besar Billboard Hot 200 pada minggu pertama. Kesuksesan album inilah yang membuat mereka semakin dilirik penggemar musik elektronik. Bekerja sama dengan produser dari Cash Cash, Krewella menciptakan singel Live for the Night, singel yang paling populer dari album GETGet WETWet ini. Trio ini juga merilis remix di tahun yang sama dengan menggandeng band kenamaan, Fall Out Boy.
