(Hanzi sederhana: 北汽福田汽车股份有限公司; Hanzi tradisional: 北汽福田汽車股份有限公司; Pinyin: Běiqì Fútián Qìchē Gǔfèn Yǒuxiàn Gōngsī), (SSE: 600166), sering disebut sebagai Foton atau BFC, adalah perusahaan otomotif yang berasal dari Republik Rakyat Tiongkok. Salah satu produknya yang dikenal adalah truk merek "Auman".[1]

Sejarah sunting

Didirikan pada tanggal 28 Agustus 1996, dan berkantor pusat di Distrik Changping, Beijing, Foton sekarang mempunyai aset sebesar 5 miliar yuan dengan 29.000 karyawan.[2] Foton juga memiliki unit Penelitian dan Pengembangan di Jepang, Jerman, Taiwan dan Filipina. Foton, yang mempunyai nilai merek sebesar 11,932 miliar Yuan pada tahun 2005, berada di posisi ke-4 di industri otomotif dan No.43 pada “Top 500 China's Most Valuable Brands”. Foton memproduksi truk ringan dan berat, kendaraan pertanian, dan mesin lain.

Foton dan Daimler AG membentuk joint ventura bulan Juli 2010 untuk memproduksi truk Auman di Cina.[3]

Foton akan membangun pabrik perakitan di Kolombia, Amerika Selatan untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar Amerika Latin yang meningkat terhadap truk-truk ringan. Perusahaan ini juga berencana membuat pabrik di bagian barat Maharastra, India.[4]
