Asosiasi Sepak Bola Hong Kong (Hanzi tradisional: 香港足球總會), sering disingkat HKFA , adalah badan pengendali sepak bola di Hong Kong. Ketuanya saat ini adalah Brian Leung Hung-Tak dan Sekretaris Jenderal adalah Vincent Yuen Mun-Chuen.[1]

SejarahSunting

Established in 1909, it is one of the oldest Football Federations in Asia and is responsible for organising various football competitions including the Hong Kong First Division, for professional, amateur and young footballers in Hong Kong.

In 1954, HKFA joined FIFA, and was also one of twelve founding associations of the Asian Football Confederation. Hong Kong played an important role in the early development of Asian football, and was given the honour of hosting the first Asian Cup competition in 1956, in which Hong Kong came third in the tournament.

HKFA is also responsible for operating the Hong Kong football team (Hanzi: 香港足球代表隊), which represents Hong Kong and competes in international football events.

Presiden HKFA adalah Timothy Fok SBS JP. The association is currently led by chairman Brian Leung Hung-tak.

Reformasi 2010–11Sunting

Mantan direktur eksekutif The Football Association David Davies akan memimpin tim di agen perubahan Scott Wilson Group, yang diangkat pada September 2010 oleh Asosiasi Sepak Bola Hong Kong untuk melaksanakan reformasi dan restrukturisasi sepak bola di Hong Kong.[2]
