"Rolling in the Deep" menerima pengakuan universal dari kritikus musik, dengan banyak pujian terhadap produksi dan lirik dari lagu tersebut, serta penampilan vokal Adele. "Rolling in the Deep" juga menduduki posisi pertama di tangga lagu akhir tahun Billboard Hot 100 tahun 2011, menjadikannya lagu terpopuler di Amerika pada tahun tersebut. Di Penghargaan Grammy tahun 2012, lagu tersebut memenangkan Record dan Song of the Year serta Best Short Form Music Video. Majalah Rolling Stone menempatkan lagu tersebut di nomor delapan dalam daftar "100 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century".
