Rebel Wilson
Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson[1][2] (nama lahir: Melanie Elizabeth Bownds; lahir 2 Maret 1980)[1][3] adalah seorang pelawak tunggal, aktris dan penulis Australia. Setelah lulus dari Australian Theatre for Young People pada tahun 2003, ia mulai muncul sebagai Toula pada serial komedi Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Pizza dan serial komedi sketsa The Wedge. Pada tahun 2008, Wilson menulis, memproduksi dan membintangi serial komedi musikal Bogan Pride. Tahun berikutnya, ia memenangkan penghargaan aktris terbaik Tropfest untuk perannya dalam film Bargain! dan membuat penampilan sebagai bintang tamu dalam serial drama City Homicide. Tak lama setelah pindah ke Amerika Serikat, Wilson berperan sebagai Brynn dalam film Bridesmaids.

Wilson juga muncul dalam film A Few Best Men, What to Expect When You're Expecting dan Struck by Lightning, membuat majalah Variety memasukan namanya sebagai salah satu dari "Sepuluh Komika yang Harus Ditonton pada tahun 2011". Ia juga muncul sebagai Becky di film Bachelorette dan membintangi film musikal Pitch Perfect dan Pitch Perfect 2 sebagai Fat Amy, peran tersebut membawanya meraih beberapa nominasi penghargaan dan memenangkan penghargaan diantaranya MTV Best Breakthrough Performance Award dan Teen Choice Award untuk Aktris Film Pilihan. The Australian Electoral Roll lists her real name as Melanie Elizabeth Bownds, though she later changed her last name to Wilson, as has been previously reported. Last year, however, she told The Australian Women's Weekly that her real name was in fact Rebel, and that Melanie and Elizabeth were middle names she went by at school to avoid being teased.
