Edmund Leighton

Edmund Blair Leighton (21 September 1852 – 1 September 1922) adalah seorang pelukis asal Inggris bertema Sejarah yang mengkhususkan diri dalam era Regency dan abad pertengahan.

Biografi

Leighton adalah putra dari artis Charles Blair Leighton. Ia belajar di University College School, sebelum menjadi seorang mahasiswa di Royal Academy School. Ia menikah dengan Katherine Nash di 1885 lalu memiliki seorang putra dan putri. Hasil-hasil karyanya dipamerkan setiap tahun di Royal Academy 1878-1920.
